New York based producers Bryan Cox and Chew Fu have joined forces to pay homage to some iconic house music pioneers with the release of the ‘Dominator’ EP, the original Human Resource classic from 1991. Featuring remixes by some of today’s hottest, most jackin' sound packers: Bryan Cox, AC Slater, The Bulgarian, Mom & Dad, Lars Moston, & Jaime Fanatic among the slew, these tracks were created TO NOT BE MISSED. This "dominating" EP is available from Brooklyn Zoo and Crux Records, so definitely be sure to grab all of these fixes and rerubs as you will without doubt be left speechless. Brought to you by one of the big men himself, Chew Fu with an Eight - Minute - Megafix of the whole damn thang!

Snapshot/ Chicago

It isn't just Jason Tyler's thick-rimmed white glasses custom-made out of vinyl that prompt total strangers to stop him on the street -- although that's sometimes enough reason. After making a considerable name for himself touring all over the country as DJ Translucent (opening for the likes of legends like Paul Johnson and Boo Williams), Jason has since moved on to bigger things -- and most certainly a bigger sound -- after many of his contemporaries have stood still. He is one of few notables in the Chicago scene creating and performing his own brand of searing club bangers crafted specifically for peak-time dancefloors -- not just making re-edits of 80s club jams and blog-house heaters.

Raised in Indiana, Jason's skills on the trumpet led him to Chicago on a full scholarship to college, but the Windy City had other plans for him: putting a house music lover in the city where it all began would only result in the inevitable -- raving the $@#% out. Jason began throwing parties and DJing widely attended rave parties for crowds of more than 3,000 people, always closing out with a set of his own. A handful of years ago, picked up an iBook, self-releasing his first studio album, "Model Tested, Rockstar Approved" on his own Snapshot Recordings label -- filled with tracks inspired by legends like Daft Punk and Felix Da Housecat and Giorgio Moroder. The album received a lot of early blog love and caused a stir in the dance music community in Miami, where Jason was living at the time.

Having spent the last year focusing his energy on delivering a powerful punch with round deux, ears are perked and even TV giants are already seeking him out to license the music ("I'm In Love" appeared on Showtime). Modus Operandi contains the best of both worlds -- tracks that fly along the same path as Kavinsky, Mehdi, or Drop The Lime but swerve off and do their own thing (see: "Fantazm" and "Ghetto Child"). Jason's even paying homage to "brighter days" with a high-energy hip-house track teeming with good vibes that bigs-up his Windy City roots. "Run Around" feat. Sam I Am will even boast its own music video, directed by the team that created the video for The Cool Kids' crossover hit, "Black Mags." Expect big basslines reminiscent of the speed garage ruled the dancefloors and serrated synthwork and unique drum patterns that absolutely uplift the club.

Modus Operandi is slated for release October 2008 -- with a few tracks leaked here and there for your early enjoyment. Seek 'em out and we'll pray for your feet...

Magically pristine, dirty electro. It's like the soundtrack to someone's particularly glamorous life. -- Missing Toof.com

A producer of bangin' blog-style heaters and a man with impeccable taste in current electronic music... -- URB Magazine

' Highly textured, exploding with drilling bass lines and the kind of aggressive enthusiasm of someone pushing for a change. - Miami New Times
